FG Sacks MD Of Nigerian Bulk Electricity Trading Company

The Federal Government on Tuesday ordered the Managing Director of the Nigerian Bulk Electricity Trading Company, Marilyn Amobi, to step down with immediate effect.

The PUNCH reports that the order mandating Amobi to quit was issued by the Minister of Power, Sale Mamman.

The minister’s Special Assistant on Media and Communications, Aaron Artimas, told our correspondent in Abuja that the NBET boss was asked to step down as a result of the myriad of complaints against her.

Artimas stated that a five-man investigative committee had been mandated to look into the issues and complaints filed against the NBET boss.
