Egbema Kingdom Debunks Passage Of Traditional Ruler

HRM Amb. Meshack Ubabiri, Bini Pere IV, Agadagba of Egbema Kingdom

The Egbema Traditional Council in Warr North Local Government Area of Delta State has refuted media reports that its monarch, Agadagba (king) of Egbema Kingdom, HRM Meshack Eseighotiegha Ubabiri, Bini Pere IV, has joined his ancestors.

The council stated that the revered Ijaw traditional ruler was “well and hearty.”

Speaking on behalf of the Egbema Traditional Council, Chief Andrew Goroh, urged the members of the public to discountenance media report indicating that their royal father had passed.

Chief Goroh, who spoke with NIGER DELTA TODAY Online via phone call on Thursday, noted that if there was any news to the contrary, the council will officially announce it.

He stated that, “We have not made any announcement that our traditional ruler has joined his ancestors. Our monarch is still alive.

“We are urging the general public to disregard any media report to that effect. In any case, it takes seven months for the people of Egbema Kingdom to announce the passage of our traditional ruler to the people.”
