Governor Godwin Obaseki and candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the ongoing Edo State governorship election has defeated his rival, Pastor Osagie Ize-Iyamu of the All Progressives Congress (APC).
Obaseki voted alongside his wife, Betsy, at Unit 19, Ward 4 in Oredo LGA of the state.
He scored 80 votes to beat Ize-Iyamu who had 51 votes.
The votes were announced by INEC officials at the unit after counting.
