#Edo2020: Obaseki Wins Ize-Iyamu’s LGA

Governor Godwin Obaseki of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the Saturday’s governorship election in Edo State is close being declared winner of the election after defeating the candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Pastor Osagie Ize-Iyamu, in Orhionmwon Local Government Area of the state.

Ize-Iyamu hails from Orhionmwon LGA of Edo State.

Obaseki is currently leading with wide margin in results announced by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) in the 17 LGAs released so far.

In the result released by INEC, Obaseki polled 13,445 to beat Ize-Iyamu who scored 10,458 in Orhionmwon LGA.

The PDP candidate has won 12 LGAs while his APC rival, Ize-Iyamu, won five.

Rejected votes: 614
