#Edo2020: Ize-Iyamu Wins Three More LGAs, Obaseki Continues To Lead

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has announced election results from three additional local government areas in the ongoing Edo State governorship election with Governor Godwin Obaseki still leading.

This brings the number of LGAs results announced so far to 16.

The candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Pastor Osagie Ize-Iyamu, won the three councils declared by the electoral umpire.

Ize-Iyamu has now won five of the 16 LGAs results released by the commission.

Obaseki, the incumbent governor of Edo, has won 11 councils and is clearly leading in the election.

APC: 8,359

PDP: 7478

Total valid votes: 15885

Rejected votes: 157

Total votes cast: 16042

ETSAKO-EAST LGA

APC: 17,011

PDP: 10,668

Total valid votes: 27,824

Rejected votes: 335

Total votes cast: 28,159

AKOKO-EDO LGA

APC: 22,963

PDP: 20,101

Total valid votes: 43,377

Rejected votes: 617

Total votes cast: 43,994
