Edo In Diaspora Warns Obaseki Against Destabilizing State With Public Funds

 Edo People in Diaspora, Holland Chapter, have called on Governor Goodwin Obaseki of Edo State to desist, forthwith, from using state funds to orchestrate and destabilise the state for his 2nd term ambition.

Edo People in diaspora, in a statement by its National President,  Hon. Martins Sadoh directed Mr. Obaseki to openly denouce and condem the horrific and animosity that is being inflicted in the lives and properties of Edo people.


“Obaseki must with immediate effect retract his steps for violence and promise to uphold to the oath he swore in 2016 to provide security for Edo people”, Sadoh advised.
The statement also appealed to the Federal government to take a decisive and drastic measures to protect Edo indigenes from tyranny.


“The Federal government should take its responsibility to conduct an independent investigation into the roots of these state sponsored terrorist whose main goals  is to unleash mannheim on innocent civilians across the state.

“We also want to remind Obaseki that being a governor does not immune anyone from being prosecuted under the instruments of international law.


“Should Obaseki feels he is above the law in Nigeria, the Edo people in Diaspora have the locus standi to array him under the guide on article 2 of the African Court of Human Right Protocol as soon as his tenure elapsed”, he added.

While reminding the Governor to seek the path of peace,and stressing  that the protection of lives and properties is a constitutional  responsibility of any civilised government 
Edo in diaspora said it is time for him to stop in house fight because crying wolf about insecurities in the State only when APC rallies are held is an aberration.
