Nigerian music super star, David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, has announced the donation of N300 million to assist orphanage homes amidst the rising economic hardship in the country.
Davido, in November 2021, through the David Adeleke Foundation also donated N250m to 292 orphanages in commemoration of his 29th birthday.
Also in July 2023, the Afrobeat singer donated N237 million to over 400 orphanages in Nigeria.
However, on Tuesday, Davido in a post on his verified Instagram hand, announced the donation of N300 million to orphanages across the country.
He promised to give details of the disbursement and beneficiaries on Wednesday.
“I and my foundation pledge the sum of 300 million Naira to orphanages around Nigeria … as my yearly contribution to the Nation ❤️ .. details of disbursement tomorrow”, Davido wrote.
Davido had been making annual donations to orphanages, a gesture, that has received applauds from Nigerians.
