The founder and General Overseer of Christ MercyLand Deliverance Ministry, Snr Prophet Jeremiah Omoto Fufeyin aka Owomowomo has been urged to desist from using his privileged wealth and position to oppress and intimidate the less privileged but rather emulate the exemplary characters of Christ Jesus and be born again.
The charge was given on Tuesday November 17, 2020 at Ughelli by the founder and National President of Concerned Citizens for Izon-ebe Development (CCFID), Comr Oyinbi Onduku who noted that a true man of God must imbibed by the virtues of Christ and be focused on preaching peace, love, salvation, repentance and forgiveness.
He emphasized that Prophet Omoto is revered by many in the society as a man of God and as such he should not indulge himself in court cases against his fellow brothers, rather he is supposed to pray for forgiveness, repentance and where necessary conduct deliverance session for whoever that is possessed with contrary spirit.
Comr. Onduku reiterated that he had to break the silence and offer some piece of advise to Prophet Jeremiah because of the ugly experience he encountered at Ughelli Magistrate Court on Tuesday, during the court proceeding between prophet Omoto Jeremiah Funfeyin, Godwin Boukan and Amos Wanki over an alleged blackmail video.
Narrating his ordeal at the Court, Onduku alleged that Prophet Jeremiah arrived the court premises with over 30 men of the Nigerian Police and that they surrounded the court premises after in went into the court in order to intimidate family members, friends and sympathizers of the defendants Godwin Boukan and Amos Wanki.
According to Onduku, said: ” l was here today to hear the final judgement of the blackmail video case between my younger brother in-law, Godwin Boukan, Amos Wanki and prophet Omoto Funfeyin.

“After much argument between the defending lawyer, Barr. Omes Ogedegbe and the prosecuting lawyers in the court, the presiding judge, Emmanuel Ogugbo then ordered everybody to leave the Court room for him to write the judgement”.
“Unfortunately before l knew what was happening, the Judge invited all the family members of the defendants for interrogation, alleging that there is intelligence report that some persons are here with arms to disrupt the court proceedings. Immediately the Judge gave orders to the police men to round us up, which they did almost immediately and they began to search our body to see if we were with guns or any incriminating objects. But to God be the glory, there was no incriminating object found in us after the search”, he narrated.
Comr Onduku also alleged that police men went further to harass one Mr. Maxwell Bini, who is the Chairman of Oteghele community in Agbarah Warri kingdom, accusing him of mobilizing boys with arms in a 18 sitters bus to disrupt the court proceedings as alleged by the prosecuting lawyers and the supporters of prophet Jeremiah. “At the end, there was no single arm found in the bus after the police search. It took the grace of God to calm down the tensed scenario created by Omoto and the police men he brought to the court premise”, he said.
“I urged prophet Omoto to desist from acts of oppression if he is a true man of God. Our Lord Jesus Christ in the Bible never sued anybody to court if you read the Bible from Genesis to Revelation. Omoto should fear God, show good example as a preacher of the undiluted word of God that gives life, wealth and prosperity”, he added.
However, when calmness returned to the tensed atmosphere at the court premises, the prosecuting lawyers made an appeal to the presiding judge for the adjournment of the case giving security challenge as an excuse.
Meanwhile, the appeal for adjournment was vehemently objected by the defending lawyer Omes Ogedegbe but the judge over ruled and granted the request and subsequently fixed 3rd of December, 2020 for final judgement on the case, citing security threats coupled with the crowd present at the court premise as reasons for the adjournment.
