Delta’s #COVID19 Tally Hits 57 As Six New Cases Recorded In Warri, Asaba, Udu, Agbor

Six new cases of the novel coronavirus have been recorded in Delta, the state government has confirmed.

This brings the state tally to 57 on Thursday.

Confirming the development on Friday, the state commissioner for information, Mr. Charles Aniagwu, said the cases were recorded in Warri, Asaba, Udu and Agbor areas of the state.

The patients are now receiving treatment at various isolation centres in the state.

According to the figures released, Udu local government area recorded two cases bringing the number of confirmed cases in the council to six.

Of the six cases in Udu, three patients have been discharged, two active and one death has been recorded.

It added that two cases were also recorded in Warri South LGA bringing the total to 14. Of the number five of the patients have been discharged with nine active cases. No death has been recorded in Warri.

The figures further revealed that one case was recorded in Asaba (Oshimili South) and Agbor (Ika South LGAs respectively.

Oshimili South now has 11 confirmed cases while Ika South (Agbor) has a total of two cases.

The state now presently has 36 active cases, 14 discharged patients and seven deaths as of on Thursday, according to the figures by the commissioner.
