Delta Woman Dies Of COVID-19 Pandemic In London

A Deltan, Mrs Sheba Ogheneovo Kudehinbu nee Eferoghene, has died of the COVID-19 pandemic in London.

Sheba, who hails from Ughievwen Kingdom in Ughelli South Local Government Area of Delta State, died on Friday morning after battling the disease for days.

The decease, who has been living in the United Kingdom with her family, as an active member of Urhobo Renaissance Society (URS).

The National Coordinator of URS, a body of academia, professionals and businessmen of Urhobo extraction, Prof. Hope Eghagha, shared the sad news of her demise on the group’s Facebook group late Friday.

Sheba is the first Urhobo and Deltan to have been reported to die of the disease across the world.

Prof Eghagha, a former Commissioner for Education in Delta State, posted, “Sad to announce that we lost this beautiful sister of ours & member of URS Okpokpaye Sheba Novo Novo (Sheba Ogheneovo Kudehinbu nee Eferoghene) to the evil Covid-19 this morning (Friday) in London!

“ Sad. Sad. Sad. May God console her family. We shall see her at the resurrection by God’s grace.”

Meanwhile, members of the group have been condoling and expressing shock over her passage.
