Delta Records Two New Cases Of COVID-19

Two new cases of COVID-19 pandemic have recorded in Delta State bringing the total number of confirmed cases in the state to nine.

The State Commissioner for Information, Mr. Charles Aniagwu, confirmed the development in a Facebook post on Thursday.

The State had recorded seven cases of the Coronavirus before Thursday with two of the patients dead.

Two other patients have also recovered from the virus after testing negative to the disease.

Governor Ifeanyi Okowa had ordered relaxation of the total lockdown in the state amidst complaints of economy hardship by residents.

One of the cases was said to be recorded in Warri while one in Asaba areas of the oil-rich state.

The state had on Wednesday inaugurated a testing centre at the Asaba Specialist Hospital to increase diagnosis of suspected cases.
