Delta Records Eight New COVID-19 Cases In Asaba, Isoko, Sapele

Eight new cases of COVID-19 have been confirmed in Delta State.

The cases were recorded in Asaba (Aniocha South), Sapele and Isoko areas of the state.

Commissioner for information, Charles Aniagwu, confirmed the new cases on Thursday.

According to him, the state now has 106 confirmed cases of the dreaded virus in 14 local government areas.

The figures released by revealed that Asaba (Oshimili South) recorded four cases, Sapele had three and Isoko South recorded one case on Wednesday.

Aniagwu said the state has discharged 27 cases after testing negative to the virus, while eight persons had died of the disease.

He added that with the new figures, Delta now has 71 active cases across the state.

Oshimili South LGA leads with 21 cases as the council with the highest number of infected persons in the state.
