Delta Postpones BECE Resit Exam, Now Holds Saturday Sept. 21

The Delta State Ministry of Basic and Secondary Education has postponed the resit examination for the Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) earlier slated for tomorrow Saturday September 14th, 2019.

It said the examination will now hold Saturday September 21, 2019.

It said the postponement was due to the late release of scratch cards by some school heads to enable students and parents to check results.

A statement issued by the Director of Information, Mr Paul Osahor, said the ministry regret inconvenience the postponement will cause to students and parents.

According to it, “This is to inform the general public, especially parents and students, that the resit examination for the Basic Education Certificate 
Examination (BECE), earlier scheduled for Saturday, September 14, has been postponed to Saturday, September 21, 2019.

“The postponement is due to the late release of scratch cards by some school heads to students for the checking of results.

“The state Ministry of Basic and Secondary Education regrets any inconvenience the shift in day may cause all stakeholders in the State Education Project.”
