Delta Pastor, Three Others Regain Freedom From Abductors

The Delta State Police Command has confirmed the release of a pastor who was kidnapped at Ogwashi-Uku in Aniocha South Local Government area of the state. 

Three other kidnapped victims including a lady where also confirmed freed by the police. 

The pastor and the three other victims were said to have spent four days in captivity. 

Delta Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), DSP Onome Onowakpoyeya, confirmed the release of the victims on Wednesday. 

Onowakpoyeya said, “They have been released. That is all I can tell you, whether ransom was paid or not, I don’t know.” 

It was gathered that the victims were abducted at Comprehensive Secondary School along the Ubulu- Unor road in Ogwashi-Uku. 

The abductors alleged to be herdsmen demanded a N100m ransom on the now released victims. 

But our correspondent could not confirm if ransom was paid to secure their release.
