A former chairmanship aspirant of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Mr Efeturi Onosorhue has boasted that the people of Udu Local Government Area of Delta State will vote massively for Governor Ifeanyi Okowa in the March 9th governorship election.
Onosorhue told newsmen on Wednesday that Okowa has bright chances of winning Saturday election against his major rival and candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Chief Great Ogboru.
The PDP chieftain described the administration of Governor Okowa as people oriented and has meaningfully impacted the lives of Deltans through infrastructural and socio-economic development in the past three years.
“Udu will deliver shocking votes for Okowa reelection because it is the turn of the Delta North to complete their tenure and I will appeal to the people of Delta Central to massively vote for him because he has done well.
“It is a conventional constitution written in our memories and minds that our brothers from the North must complete their second term in office and there is no doubt that and it will be very wrong for Delta Central not to align with Okowa’s reelection.
“We are all aware how Chief James Ibori from Central spent 8 years, Dr. Emmanuel Uduaghan from South also spent another 8 years as governors in Delta State, now it is their turn and we must support them.
Speaking on a comment credited to Vice President Prof Yemi Osinbajo during is recent visit to Delta State that the federal government would deplored further security to the state, Onosorhue said Delta and the Niger Delta was not in war for such action.
“The Idea of APC led government to deploy security agencies to Delta and other states for election is undemocratic of the Buhari administration as we are not in war zone.
“Prof Yemi Osinbajo if the statements credited to him are true, lacks character as a Pastor to concentrate on Delta election. He is gradually losing the confidence Nigerians. It shows that he lacks character as a Pastor and as a vice president”, he added.
