Delta CJ To Partner Urhobo Economic Group On Enforcement Of ‘Anti-Deve’ Law

The Chief Judge of Delta State, Honourable Justice Marshal Umukoro has reiterated his commitment to partner the Urhobo Economic and Investment Group on enforcement of “anti deve” law.

Justice Umukoro stated this on Monday when the Urhobo Economic and Investment Group paid him an advocacy visit at his office in Asaba.

The Chief Judge applauded the Group for taking the bull by the horn on developmental issues as it affects Urhoboland.

He commended the group for the successful summit, and enjoined them to be steadfast, dedicated and committed towards the realization of issues raised at the summit.

The Chief Judge promised to partner with the group and also engage other critical stakeholders towards bringing a lasting solution and enforcement of the “anti-deve” law.

While commending the group to remain dedicated on the task ahead, he called on all patriotic Urhobo Sons and daughters to render their support to the group, as the group is in the right trajectory.

Earlier, Convener of the group, Kingsley Ubiebi, said the group embarked on the advocacy visit to the Chief Judge to seek his support in the enforcement of the Public & Private Properties Protection Law 2018 in Urhoboland and other parts of the State.

He also called on the Chief Judge to create civil and commercial division and to establish a fast track court to handle commercial cases of multinational contracts, putting into consideration the countless effects that “deve” has caused to investors and proposed Investors in Urhoboland.
