Local Government and primary schools contributory retirees in Delta State have been assured of government continuous support to ameliorate the sufferings of the elderly in the state
The state Head of Service, Mr. Reginald Bayoko gave this assurance today when speaking with newsmen after the peaceful protest by the retirees.
He noted that Governor Okowa as the father of everybody in the State has been and will continue to support the local government and Primary school retires to ameliorate the challenges they face.
Mr. Bayoko stated that, although it was not the direct responsibility of the state government to pay local government workers, Governor Okowa was sensitive to their plights and will continue to intervene in their issues at all time when the need arises.
He opined that Covid-19 pandemic affected so many things negatively, but everything is gradually picking up hoping that things get better in the nearest future.
