Delta 2023: Why Deltans Should Shun PDP, Vote Omo-Agege – Ewherido

Senator Ovie Omo-Agege, Deputy President of the Senate

A foundation member of the All Progressive Congress in Delta State, Mr. Francis Ewherido, has urged the PDP in Delta State to give Deltans a report card of its 24 years of stewardship, adding “that is what you do at an election time like this rather than resort to mudslinging and meaningless attacks on opponents, specifically the APC governorship candidate Deputy President of the Senate, HE Ovie Omo-Agege.”

In a press statement, Ewherido said “the state has received trillions of naira from the federation account, derivation funds, ecological funds and other payments made by the federal government to Delta State over the years. This is in addition to the hundreds of billions of naira that have been borrowed, and internally generated revenue. They show tell us what they did with the money.

They should show us the projects they executed, show us the impact on Deltans and how Delta State has become more liveable. These should be PDP campaign weapons.”

“A party that performed excellently over the years should not be running from pillar to post and clinging to straws to win a governorship election. PDP in Delta State has failed woefully and when a football player is no longer adding value on the pitch, you replace him.

“The PDP in Delta State is suffering from inertia and Delta State cannot risk keeping them in power a day longer. Omo-Agege has proven to Deltans during his time in the senate as someone who can reverse the retrogression of Delta State and restore its glory. He is doing it in Delta Central Senatorial District and he will replicate it in Delta State, Ewherido concluded.
