A frontline socio political pressure group in Delta state, Hope Alive, has inaugurated its ward executive committee members in Isoko South Local Government Area, and Isoko North Local Government Area, both in Delta state.
The Ward Executive Committee Members, who were sworn-in by the Director-General of Hope Alive, High Chief Lawrence Eduje, were charged in accordance with the ideology of the group to imbibed and propagate honesty, commitment and integrity for the overall interests and good of all.
The newly inaugurated ward executive members who have been enjoined to emulate the ideologies of the grand patron, Bashorun Askia Ogieh, are expected to sustain the formidable force the group has created at the very grassroots level since inception.
In his address, the DG of Hope Alive, High Chief Lawrence Eduje, said “As we all know activities towards 2023 are picking up. Consultations are ongoing. Let me on this note make it very clear. That where our Grand Patron, Bashorun Askia Ogieh Stands, there Hope Alive Stands. We should wait patiently for directives which will soon come and we shall follow to the letter.
“You must as a matter of policy, carry all members along as we are all in this together.
“We are a formidable grassroots force, which we comfortably displayed during the Delta State House of Assembly Isoko South Constituency 1 by-election and which we delivered as a collective.
“Our strength is in our unity and we all must therefore stand firm on the Hope Alive agenda.”
Chief Lawrence Eduje who assured the newly inaugurated ward executives of a better leadership on the part of the grand patron, Bashorun Askia Ogieh, warns against betrayal, saying that “Be assured that our Grand Patron will lead us on the right path. But let me warn those who may be tempted to test both the hot and cold waters. Hope Alive will not be able to accommodate you. We do not pray for it, but if you belong to that class, it is not too late to exit Hope Alive.
”We all must be committed to one of the key cardinals of Hope Alive, which is consistency in group action and in delivering results.
“It is on this note that I formally inaugurate the Hope Alive Ward Executives in Isoko South Local Government Area and Isoko North Local Government Area.”
In an interview with our correspondent, one of the newly inaugurated ward executives, the coordinator of Okpolo-Enwhen ward 09, Comr. Francis Ezede, assured the National Working Committee of the Hope Alive of his commitment to win more members into the group to form a more formidable force across the ward 09 of Okpolo-Enwhen.
“Today I feel very happy to be one of those chosen to coordinate the affairs of this group at the ward level, and I want to assure the National Working Committee of my commitment in piloting the affairs of the group to the best of my abilities.
“I will make sure Hope Alive dominates the entire ward 09 of Okpolo-Enwhen; I will be committed to winning new members to the group and to PDP”
In another interview, a member of the National Working Committee, Hope Alive, Ewomazino Duku Esq., described the grand patron of the group, Bashorun Askia Ogieh, as a national figure who has positively affects lives, the politics of Delta state, and Nigeria at large, hence the pressure the National Working Committee is currently getting from other local government and ethnic groups to have Hope Alive establish and their ward executives inaugurated at their own wards.
Also speaking in an interview with our correspondent, the DG of Hope Alive, High Chief Lawrence Eduje, said the grand patron of the group, Bashorun Askia Ogieh, is a sincere leader whose action is void of lies and tricks.
“As a matter of fact, Hope Alive is one of the most popular socio political pressure group in Delta state; Hope Alive is all about Bashorun Askia Ogieh, a man that believes in the old time politics that is void of lies and tricks.”
