…As Dafinone Takes Campaigns To Oghara
Ahead of the 2023 general elections, a chieftain of the All Progressives Congress in Delta State, Chief Hope Abijor has said that the former governor of the State, Chief James Onanefe Ibori will not work for the People’s Democratic Party in the 2023 elections, adding that the Governor of Delta State, Senator Dr Ifeanyi Okowa has done nothing in Oghara.
Abijor stated this on Wednesday when Chief Ede Dafinone, APC Delta Central Senatorial Candidate and his campaign team led by the DG Chief Barr Adelabu Bodjor, stormed ward 7 in Ethiope West local government area of Delta State.
He disclosed that before now, Oghara and the entire local government used to be a strong base of the ruling PDP, but today all that has changed because of the 7 years of neglect of the community by the Governor Okowa-led government, and the people are now singing a new song.
“The Okowa has done nothing in Oghara. The Teaching Hospital our national leader brought to Oghara as we speak, it has become a shadow of himself,” adding that APC will come out victorious in Oghara.
“Our people use to support PDP because of what we have on ground before now. There’s been no road constructed by Okowa in Oghara in the past 7 years and the people supporting him have nothing to show.
“There’s no reflection of the Government on those working with PDP. For this reason, our people are tired of them. I can tell you that majority of the council of Chiefs are in APC. APC will come out victorious in Oghara.”
“I strongly believe that our National leader, Chief James Onanefe Ibori will not work for PDP because he has been wronged by the party despite the fact that the daughter is contesting under PDP, I know he will work for us.”
“Even if you had not come, we will still work for you, but now that you have come, we will double our hustle so that you can win convincingly. After winning, Amori cannot take you to court because the margin will be too high,” he added.
Speaking earlier, the APC Delta Central Senatorial Candidate, Chief Ede Dafinone urged APC faithful to vote for all APC candidates, insisting that he is prepared to change the lives of the people in Delta Central if voted to office.
“My own work is to beat my father’s record. Our DSP Ovie Omo-Agege has also raised the bar and I must do more than our DSP. He is not a selfish man, he will encourage me to work better than him, while he will set a new record for the Governors” he said.
Dafinone explained that he has been listening to the pain of the people and will want to empower more people. “Vote for APC presidential candidate, vote for Omo Agege and all APC candidates in the 2023 election,” he added.
Meanwhile, leaders in Oghara kingdom on Wednesday throw weight behind Chief Ede Dafinone’s Senatorial aspiration as his campaign team stormed Ethiope West Ward 10 and 9 in Oghareki.
The APC Local Government Chairman, Chief Efe Amugoro while speaking said Oghara is now APC, adding that Dafinone is the only man who can fit into the shoes of the Deputy Senate President, Senator Ovie Omo-Agege.
Chief Amugoro also explained that Omo-Agege has done what the State Governor, Dr Ifeanyi Okowa could not do while assuring Dafinone that Oghareki will vote for all APC candidates in the 2023 election.
“Oghara is now APC, Ovie Omo-Agege has done what our Governor could not do, and Ede Dafinone is qualified and is known all over the world. He is the only man that can fit into the shoes of Omo-Agege. Be rest assured that Ethiope West is for APC, Oghareki is for APC and we will produce the result you want. Oghara will stand by you and we will vote five over five,” he said.
The House of Assembly Candidate for Ethiope West, Comrade Blessing Achioja, speaking also said the Governor of Delta State, Senator Dr Ifeanyi Okowa has done nothing in Oghareki, insisting that Oghareki will vote for all APC candidates.
According to him, “Ovie Omo-Agege is the man we know and we can trust. Okowa has done nothing in Oghareki, and for that, we will not vote for PDP. We will not vote for someone who signed three universities but couldn’t sign any for himself. We will vote for credible candidates in this election and all APC candidates are very credible to represent us.” he said.
