Cult Clash Claims Two Lives In Delta Community

 Two persons have been reportedly killed in Ugbromo community, a suburb of Effurun in Uvwie Local Government Area of Delta State.

It was gathered that the deceased were killed during a rival cult clash in the community on Thursday evening.

The clash was said to be between Aro-Banger aka Vikings and cult members in the area.

It was not clear what led to the violence which resulted in a pandemonium but sources claimed it was a supremacy battle.

The incident forced shop owners to shut down businesses in the area.

One of the victims was said to have been shot on the chest and was later confirmed death in a hospital in Warri on Thursday night.

The second deceased died on Friday evening from injury sustained during the clash.

When contacted, the State Police spokesperson, DSP Onome Onovwakpoyeya, confirmed the incident.

She said the police can only confirm the death of one of the victims, adding that, “It was a cult clash between Aro-Bagger and another cult group.”
