The travails of the embattled national Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Prince Sche Secondus deepened on Friday, Rivers State State High Court in Port Harcourt, upheld his suspension from ward.
Hon. Justice Okugbelem Gbasam, who presided over the Court, had while ruling on the judgement relied on Secondus’s suspension from Ward 5 as member of Peoples Democratic Party in Andoni local government area of the State.
The judgement is sequel to motion brought by Ibeawuchi Ernest Alex and four others who are members of the party, against Prince Uche Secondus and Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
Justice Gbasam also upheld the prayers of the aggrieved PDP members to restrain, suspend, Secondus from attending, conveying PDP meetings in his capacity as National Chairman or member of the party.
Speaking to journalists outside the courtroom, Geoffrey Uwalaka, Counsel to Uche Secondus, said the outsome of the case did not come as a surprise.

Uwakala who expressed dissatisfaction against the ruling, noted that his client will appeal the judgement.
“I am not surprised at the ruling, I didn’t expect less from the ruling because the way and manner the sitting was commence, we tried to bring to the attention of the court as the provisions of the law were not complied with as regards to the issuance of the originating summons; they were not complied with, as such the court doesn’t have the jurisdiction to proceed with that matter, but the Court went ahead without listening to our complains.
”The tune of the ruling said that our client has been suspended, like I said that is not the whole truth, we will meet at appeal. As I speak to you, we have compiled our appeal, we are going on appeal.”
On his part, Uwosuegbe Eze, Counsel to the Plaintiffs, stated that the judgement has upheld the suspension of Secondus and that all action from today onward is null and void as he cannot perform any functions.
