Corpse Of An Unknown JTF Soldier Found With Bullet Wounds

A decomposing corpse of a yet-to-be identified soldier in military uniform has been found in the Gwagwalad area of Abuja, the nation’s seat of power.

The slain soldier was said to be attached to Joint Task Force (JTF), a special military joint team in the country.

It was gathered that the officer’s remains was found on Gwagwalada bridge along Abuja-Lokoja road on Tuesday.

The slain officer was still in uniform but riddled with bullets believed to be that of his killers.

It was learnt that the deceased was found by commuters who reportedly informed security agencies of the development.

The body of the unknown soldier was later evacuated by security personnel from the Gwagwalada Police Division.

The FCT Police Command’s Public Relations Officer, ASP Maryam Yusuf, confirmed the discovery of the corpse.

Yusuf said the command had launched investigation into the circumstances surrounding the killing of the military officer.
