After much pressure, President Muhammadu Buhari will today (Sunday) address Nigerians over the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Mr. President will hold the State of the Nation broadcast by 7pm later today.
A statement signed by Buhari’s Special Adviser (Media & Publicity), Mr. Femi Adesina confirmed the development.
It read, “President Muhammadu Buhari will broadcast to the nation Sunday, March 29, 2020 at 7pm.
“Television, radio and other electronic media outlets are enjoined to hook up to the network services of the Nigerian Television Authority (NTA) and Federal Radio Corporation of Nigeria (FRCN) respectively for the broadcast.”
Recall that prominent Nigerians had called on Mr Buhari to address the nation on the raging Coronavirus epidemic that is ravaging the global world.
