Chief Olori Felicitates Ogboru On Birthday, Says He Remains Delta’s Political Icon At 67

A prominent businessman and chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Delta State, Chief Morrison Olori has extended warm congratulations to Chief Great Ogboru as he marks his 67th birthday today.

 

Chief Olori, who holds the revered traditional title of the Obaseki of Ughelli Kingdom, described Ogboru as a political icon whose political ideals resonate with majority of Deltans and Nigeria at large.

 

In a statement issued in Ughelli on Wednesday, Chief Olori described Chief Ogboru as “a true son of Delta and a political icon whose resilience and dedication to the democratic process have left a lasting impact on the state and the nation at large.”

 

“Chief Great Ogboru is a man whose life exemplifies perseverance, service, and a deep commitment to the ideals of justice and equity,” Olori said.

 

Adding, he said,  “At 67, his legacy as a businessman, political leader, and patriotic Deltan continues to inspire the younger generation.”

The businessman praised Ogboru for his courage in the political arena and for his enduring efforts to bring development and good governance to Delta State.

 

“As a party leader and a respected elder statesman, Chief Ogboru has remained a pillar within our political family. On behalf of myself, my family, and the good people of Ughelli Kingdom, I pray for God’s continued blessings upon his life—good health, wisdom, and many more years in service to humanity,” the statement read.

 

Chief Great Ogboru, fondly referred to as the “Peoples General,” is a household name in Delta politics and a former gubernatorial candidate who has contested multiple elections. His political journey has spanned decades, earning him admiration across party lines.
