President Muhammadu Buhari will on Thursday (today) address Nigerians in a national broadcast by 7pm.
This was contained in a statement issued by the President’s Special Adviser (Media & Publicity), Femi Adesina.
This is coming after pressure from Nigerians including the leadership of the National Assembly over the violence that has rocked the #EndSARS protests where many youths have been killed.
The statement read, “Following detailed briefing by security chiefs on the current situation in the country, President Muhammadu Buhari will make a national broadcast Thursday, October 22, 2020 at 7pm.
“Television, radio and other electronic media outlets are enjoined to hook up to the network services of the Nigerian Television Authority (NTA) and Radio Nigeria respectively for the broadcast.”
