President Muhammadu Buhari has arrived Daura, his home town in Katsina State, on a four-day private visit.
Buhari was received on arrival at the Umaru Musa Yar’adua Airport in Katsina by the Katsina State governor, Aminu Masari, speaker of the State House of Assembly, Chief Judge of Katsina and the members of the state cabinet.
According to a statement issued by the President’s Media Adviser, Mallam Garba Shehu, said the Buhari during the visit will participate in the All Progressives Congress (APC) membership registration and revalidation exercise holding across the country.

The statement said, “In the course of his stay in Daura, he is expected to, among other engagements, participate in the All Progressives Party, APC membership registration and revalidation exercise.
“The President considers this exercise as a very important one for the nation’s democracy and its yearning for good leadership as a requirement of the process of nation building.
“The President is expected to return to the nation’s capital on Tuesday.”
