Victory Gbakara, son of the founder of God’s Will Mission, Archbishop Solomon Oghenesuvwetoba Gbakara, has won the season eight of the Nigerian Idol, the country’s premier reality TV singing competition.
He was declared the winner of the competition after results of votes across the country were announced during the grand finale on Sunday night.
Victory Gbakara, who hails from Usiefrun town in Ughievwen Kingdom of Ughelli South of Delta State defeated his closest rival, Precious Mac from Bayelsa State, for the grand prize.
Victory, also a lawyer, will walked home with 80 million naira, a brand new SUV, one year supply of Biggi drinks, a weekend get away trip to Cape Town in South Africa.
The live show began on Sunday , May 28, 2023, with top 10 contestants after a fierce battle and final judgement of Theatre Week.
Victory’s parents, Archbishop Solomon Gbakara owns one of the biggest Pentecostal churches in Delta State.
