Prince Ugen, Founder Of Delta’s First Private Radio Station, JFM , Is Dead

A former Deputy Chief of Staff (Deputy Governor’s Office) to former Governor Emmanuel Uduaghan of Delta State, Prince Nutasia George Ugen, has passed on.

Ugen, a renowned broadcaster and founder of Radio Jeremi Limited (JFM), the first private broadcast station in Delta State, died in the early hours of Saturday.

He was said to have passed on at his home in Otughievwen (Otu-Jeremi), headquarters of Ughelli South Local Government Area of the state.

Prince Ugen, whose father was one time Okobaro (King) of Ughievwen Kingdom, died at 72.

Multiple family sources confirmed his passage, saying “he had been sick.”

Aside being an accomplished broadcaster, Prince Ugen was also a renowned foreign trained Artificial Intelligence Expert.

The deceased was also a former director of the state-owned Delta Trust Mortgage Finance Limited. 

JFM was renowned for opening up private broadcasting space in Delta and became one of the most popular radio stations in the state till date.
