Police Release Sowore After Arrest At Abuja Court Over Kanu’s Trail

The Convener of the #RevolutionNow Movement and publisher of SaharaReporters, Comrade Omoyele Sowore, has been released by the Nigeria Police Force.

Sowore was arrested on Monday at the Federal High Court in Abuja where the leader of Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Nnamdi Kanu’s trial was to resumed.

The activist turned politician was picked up by the police for an undisclosed reasons.

The trial of Kanu was expected to have commenced at the court until the case was adjourned till October for commencement full trial, Daily Trust reported

SaharaReporters had reported “I have just been arrested by the Nigerian Police at the Federal High Court. Subjected to beatings by police officers and taken to the Federal Secretariat police station.”
