The crisis rocking the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), has worsened, with the sacking of its national Chairman, Prince Uche Seconds, by a Port Harcourt High Court.
The Court sitting at Degema and presided over by His Lordship, Hon. Justice Gbasam, while ruling on an order of interim injunction in suit No:PHC/2183/CS/2021, between Ibeawuchi Ernest Alex, Dennis Nna Amadi, Emmanuel Stephen and Umezurike Onuoha (claimants), versus Prince Uche Secondus and Peoples Democratic Party (1st and 2nd defendants), granted an interim order stopping the embattled PDP boss from parading himself as the National Chairman of the party.
According to the Interim Order, a motion ex-parte dated 23rd August 2021, for hearing and determination by Hon Gbasam; and after hearing the submissions of HA Bello, counsel for the applicants, the following were decided:

“That an order be and is hereby made granting leave for the commencement of this suit during the 2021 annual vacation of the High Court in Rivers State;
“That an order of interim injunction is granted restraining the 1st defendant (Prince Uche Secondus) from parading himself as a member of the the 2nd defendant (PDP) or the National Chairman of the defendant or performing the functions of National Chairman of the 2nd defendant or calling;
“Attending or presiding over any meeting of the 2nd defendant or any committee of the 2nd defendant at ward, local government or state congress of the 2nd defendant,
“Or calling for any ward, local government, or state congress of the 2nd defendant;

“Or setting up committees for such congresses or participating in any activity of the 2nd defendant whatsoever whilst on suspension as a member of the 2nd defendant pending the determination of the motion on notice for interlocutory injunction.”
Signed by the Assistant Chief Registrar (Litigator), Patricia Victor-Nwoka, Esq, the order included that notice of the orders be served Prince Secondus by pasting it on his residential gate, and also published in the news.
