Governors of the South-South geopolitical region are currently in Port Harcourt, Rivers State, for a meeting of the forum.
Already at the Rivers State Government House for the meeting are Governors Godwin Obaseki (Edo), Ifeanyi Okowa (Delta), Douye Diri (Bayelsa) and Udom Emmanuel (Akwa Ibom).
The host and governor of Rivers State, Nyesom Wike, received the colleagues with Obaseki being the first to arrive the venue.
They are now waiting for Cross River Governor, Prof Ben Ayade, for the meeting to commence.
It was not clear the reason for the meeting but our correspondent gathered that the governors will discuss the controversial Value Added Tax (VAT) at the meeting.
They are also expected to discuss other economy and political issues affecting the region.
