UPDATED: Gbagi Absent As Delta PDP Guber Primaries Begin In Asaba

The governorship primaries of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Delta State is now underway in Asaba, the State capital.

The process commenced at about 2:45pm after after the Chairman of the seven-man PDP electoral committee led by Ndubuisi Nwobu read out the names of the 14 governorship aspirants to the delegates.

Of the 14 governorship aspirants vying for the PDP ticket, only 12 of them are currently present at the venue.

However, a former Minister of State for Education, Olorogun Kenneth Gbagi is absent at the ongoing primaries.

Among the aspirants present and currently seated at the venue are Olorogun David Edevbie, Chief Sheriff Oborevwori, Mr. Peter Mrakpor, Chief Angozi Braduce, Deacon Chris Iyovwaye, Kingsley Otuaro, Senator James Manager, Omizu Ejaife Odebala, Fred Majemite, Chief Abel Oghenevo Esievo, Bright Onajefe-Gift Edejewhro and Lucky Idike.
