South Africa’s last white minority President, Frederik Willem de’Klerk, is dead.
As announced today by his foundation, his death at 85, was linked with cancer.
The statement from the foundation said: “Former President FW de Klerk died peacefully at his home in Fresnaye earlier this morning following his struggle against mesothelioma cancer.”
