Former Delta Deputy Governor, Utuama Is Dead


 

 

 

A former Delta State Deputy Governor, Professor Amos Agbe Utuama SAN, is dead.

 

Utuama, who was a deputy governor between 2007-2015, passed on after a protracted illness.

 

Our correspondent gathered that the Senior Advocate of Nigeria ((SAN) passed on in the early hours of Saturday in Lagos.

 

He was born June 5, 1947.

 

Utuama was a deputy to former Governor Emmanuel Uduaghan. He served for eight years with Uduaghan on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

 

He was also the commissioner for Justice and Attorney General of Delta State under the administration of former Governor James Ibori.

 

Although the passing of the legal luminary has not been officially announced by her family, political associates of the deceased confirmed the development to NIGER DELTA TODAY Online.

 

Prior to joining politics, Prof Utuama was a well respected law lecturer at the University of Lagos.

He hailed from Otughievwen (Otu-Jeremi) town in Ughievwen Kingdom of Ughelli South local government area of Delta State.

 

The former deputy governor was said to have been sick since after the passage of his wife, Dr. Nelly Utuama.

  1. And again talking about me studying in delta state university, why can’t they reduce things a little bit the prices of things are increasing, students are dying, even the nation named Nigeria, we are dying
