Investigative journalist, Ferijo Oliver, has been released after been allegedly held in detention by State Security Service also known as Department of State Services (DSS) since 10am today (Tuesday) in Asaba, Delta State
A source close to the journalist confirmed the release of Oliver this evening at about 8.20pm.
Our correspondent reports that Oliver was allegedly detained by operatives of the secret police after taking his statement over a report alleging that armed robbers broke into the Delta State Government House, Asaba.
NIGER DELTA TODAY Online reports that Mr. Oliver honoured the invitation at exactly 10:07am on Tuesday.

Another source within the DSS Complex confirmed that Fejiro Oliver had completed his statement and a meeting with the State Director of the DSS.
The journalist could not, however, been reached after his statement was allegedly taken.
