Unknown gunmen have reportedly murdered Dr. Chike Akunyili.
The victim was husband of the late Director-General of the National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control (NAFDAC), Prof. Dora Akunyili.
Dr. Akunyili was said to have been shot dead at Nkpor Junction Idemili North Local Government Area of Anambra State Tuesday September 28, 2021.
Although detail of the incident is still sketchy, it was however learnt that he traveled to from Enugu where he was based, to Anambra State, to receive an award for his late wife, Dora.
Until his death, Akunyuli was the Chief Medical Director of St. Leo Hospital, in Enugu.
