The Delta State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has rejected the results announced by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) declaring Senator James Manager of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) as the winner of the senatorial election in Delta South.
Prophet Jones Erue, state chairman of the APC told WARRI TODAY that was no election in Delta South Senatorial District except in the two local government councils of Warri South and Isoko South LGAs.
INEC had declared incumbent Senator James Manager of the PDP as the winner of the Delta South election having polled 258,812 votes to defeat Uduaghan is the candidate of the APC.
Uduaghan garnered 125,776 votes to come second in the election.
But reacting to results, Erue said there was no election in Delta South, saying that what happened in the last Saturday’s Presidential and National Assembly election was a fraudulent and his party rejects the outcome of the exercise in its entirety.
According to him, “That was a fraud. There was no election in Delta South Senatorial. The only places they had election were Isoko South and Warri South. There was no election in every other place in the district. The ballot boxes for other LGAs were hijacked and thumb printed by thugs.
“I’ll send you a video to show you. So, declaring Manager as winner is a fraud. There was no election and card readers were no used. Soldiers and police in connivance INEC officials aided the rigging and fraudulent act.
“INEC was fraudulent because they (Security operatives and INEC) were induced by Manager and PDP in the state from the stolen wealth of the common man in the society.
“Voters were not allowed to exercise their civic rights. The result cannot stand. INEC should stop playing the people. There was no election in Delta South. Any result being announced aside Isoko South is fraudulent. They collected money from PDP and Manager. I’ll send you the video tape.”
