Delta APC Chieftain, Cairo Ojougboh Is Dead


A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Delta State, Chief Cairo Ojougboh is dead.

Ojougboh, who is a former Executive Director, Projects, Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC), collapsed and died while watching the AFCON between Nigeria and South Africa.

NIGER DELTA TODAY Online learnt that the politician was watching the football game at his Abuja residence when the unfortunate incident happened.

He was immediately rushed to Garki Central Hospital for medical attention where he was pronounced dead on arrival.

A source close to the deceased family said the Agbor chief died of what they suspect to be cardiac arrest.

He was said to have screamed when the referee that handled the match between the Super Eagles and the Bafana Bafana of South Africa awarded a penalty kick against Nigeria.

The deceased hailed from Agbor in Delta North area of Delta State.

The family is yet to officially confirm his death at the time of filing this report.
