Delta APC Chairman Returns From Medical Vacation, Resumes Duties As Party Chair

Amid the crisis rocking the Delta State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC), the state chairman of party, Elder Omeni Sobotie, has returned from his foreign medical vacation to the country.

Sobotie, who had been away from party activities since the 2023 general elections, is said to have resume his duties amidst the emergence of two factional acting State chairmen.

A letter by dated Monday December 2, 2024, and addressed to the factional acting State Chairman and Delta Central APC Chairman, Chief Paulinus Akpeki, Sobotie said he has returned to his duty post as chairman of the party in Delta.

The letter reads, “This is to inform you that having gone through a successful surgery, I have resumed my duties as State Chairman of APC effective today the 2nd day of December, 2024.

“I thank you all for your support and prayers.”

Delta APC has been enmeshed in leadership tussle following the absence of Sobotie who was quoted to be away on medical leave abroad.
