The immediate past Minister of Niger Delta Affairs, Senator Godswill Akpabio has withdrawn from the presidential race for the ticket of the All Progressives Congress (APC).
Akpabio, former governor of Akwa Ibom, said his withdrawal was to support the presidential aspiration of the national leader of the APC, Bola Tinubu.
The former senator pleaded with his supporters and delegates at the ongoing APC presidential primary to cast their votes for the former Lagos State governor.
Similarly, the former governor of Ogun State, Ibikunle Amosun also announced his withdrawal from the APC primary.
