The ruling Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Bayelsa State has suffered one of its worst defeat in the ongoing governorship election as the party scored mere 874 votes against the 83,041 votes polled by the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Nembe LGA of the state.
Nembe has a total registered voters of 92,546. Out of the number 85,103 were accredited to vote in the poll.
The win put APC in massive lead in the results being announced by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).
