A supporter of President Muhammadu Buhari, Elvis Omoiri, who was attacked by a member of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) on Wednesday September 11, 2019 in Effurun, Uvwie Local Government Area of Delta State has been discharged from the hospital where had been receiving treatment.
This is even as operatives of the State Police Command have arrested the fleeing suspect, Mr Best Uduophori.
Uduophori reportedly attacked Omoiri following argument that ensued between duo while the victim was celebrating the Tribunal victory of President Buhari on Wednesday September 11, 2019 when the tribunal affirmed his election against the presidential candidate of the PDP, Atiku Abubakar.
The suspect had inflicted life threatening injuries on the Buhari supporter during the scuffle.

Source at the Ekpan Police Station whose men arrested the suspect told NIGER DELTA TODAY that the Uduophori was arrested at about 2am on Tuesday.
It was learnt that he was apprehended by police operatives led by DSP Lawrence Ikechukwu at his hideout in Effurun.
However, Omoiri who had been nursing injuries sustained from the attack was said to have been discharged from his hospital bed few days ago.
A family source confirmed the development to NIGER DELTA TODAY.
Minister of State for Labour and Employment, Mr. Festus Keyamo (SAN), who hails from the area, picked the medical bills of the APC supporter and vowed that the attacker would be apprehended and prosecuted by agents of government.
When contacted on Tuesday, the State Police Public Relations Officer, Onome Onowakpoyeya, confirmed the arrest of the suspect.
Onowakpoyeya clarified that the incident which led to the attack of the victim was not caused by political disagreement.
