A son of former Nigeria’s Vice President, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, has tested positive to the ravaging Coronavirus.

Atiku, the presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the 2019 elections, personally confirmed the development on Sunday night.

He made the confirmation through a tweet on his verified twitter account.

He, however, did not state the name of his that had contracted the disease.

According to him, “My son has tested positive for coronavirus.”

He revealed that the case has been reported to the Nigerian Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) while his son has been moved to Gwagwalada Specialist Teaching Hospital in Abuja for treatment.

“The @NCDCGov (Nigeria Centre for Disease Control) has been duly informed, and he has been moved to Gwagwalada Specialist Teaching Hospital in Abuja for treatment and management. I will appreciate it if you have him in your prayers. Stay safe, coronavirus is real,” he added.
