Anambra Indigenes In Delta Endorse Maduka For Nov. 6 Election


Indigenes of Anambra State resident in neighbouring Delta State have endorsed the governorship candidate of Accord Party, Dr. Godwin Maduka for the November 6, 2021 election.

The Anambrarians under the aegis of Anambra State Town Unions in Delta said they were taking the Maduka governorship ambition as personal project.

President General of the indigenes in the state, Victor Mbanefo who made the commitment in Asaba during a rally for the Accord Party candidate, said Maduka has the blueprint to transform Anambra State.

He said Maduka stood out among the contestants, adding that has demonstrated the capacity to develop Anambra State and make it an envy for all.

Responding, the governorship hopeful, Dr. Maduka said he would not disappoint if elected as governor of Anambra State.

Maduka appealed to the authorities, youths and other stakeholders to allow the election hold, saying that this was an opportunity to revamp the state with him as governor.

“We don’t want to lose this opportunity because I have what it takes to help my people cross the bridge.

“We need a new change and a new face in Anambra, and I represent that new face. I have contributed over $500 million to the Gross Domestic Product (GDP) of Anambra.

“I would not be here if I had seen any alternative among my co-contestants. They are all good in different things but the governance of Anambra State right now, I don’t need to stay away until I finish what I came for, they can maintain it.

“To take us out of this hole, I am the only one who can do it because I have the antecedents that no one else has, and they all know it. I will fix Anambra in every aspect because I have done it before.”

Maduka vowed to transform Anambra into a Dubai of some sort, saying that his administration would fix the the road from Onitsha to Enugu within the first 100 days.

Saying that an airport would be developed, Maduka boasted that he would collaborate with the Federal Government to dredge the River Niger all the way to Atlantic Ocean to facilitate maritime business.

The governorship hopeful seized the opportunity to dismiss rumours that he was collapsing Accord Party into the All Progressive Grand Alliance (APGA), insisting that he would inflict crushing defeat on Prof. Charles Soludo, the APGA candidate and other contestants.

He claimed that APGA was already a collapsing wall.
