The All Progressives Congress (APC) Screening Committee for Anambra Governorship Election has cleared all the 14 aspirants jostling for the party’s ticket in the November 6, 2021 election.
Indication to this effect emerged when chairman of the Committee, Chief Ikechi Emenike, submitted report of the two-day screening exercise of aspirants to chairman of the APC Caretaker Extra-Ordinary Convention Planning Committee (CECPC), Hon. Mai Mala Buni, at the party Secretariat in Abuja on Thursday.
The screened aspirants were: Sen. Emmanuel Andy Uba; Nwokafor Amobi Daniel; Dr. George N. Moghalu; Hon. Paul Izuchukwuorajiaka; Chief Edozie Madu; Dr. Chidozie Wilson Nwankwo; Mr. Maxwell S. C. Okoye and Col. AVC. Geoff Onyejegbu.
Others were: Hon. Azuka Uche Okwuosa; Onwa Ikeobasi Mokelu; Igwebuikeifeanyi Hygers; Godwin C Okonkwo (Rev); Beneth Chukwuogo Etiaba and Onunkwo Johnbosko Obinna.
Submitting the report, Emenike said: “We approached this work with the spirit of patriotism, transparency and with an open heart in line with provisions of the Nigerian Constitution and the party’s guidelines for the nomination of candidates.”

Receiving report on behalf of the National Chairman, the CECPC National Secretary, Senator John Akpanudoedehe, commended the committee for serving the party.
“I receive this report on behalf of the National Chairman of the Party in good faith.
“By what you have done you have removed the need for an Appeal Committee. We are indeed very grateful to the committee for serving the party in the Screening Exercise,” he said.
The primary holds on Saturday June 26 in the 181 wards of the 21 local government areas.
