A’Ibom Gov, Emmanuel Suspends Aide Over Alleged Fraud

Governor of Akwa Ibom State, Udom Emmanuel has announced the immediate suspension of his Special Assistant, Mr Emmanuel Nicholas, from office over allegations of fraud.

The governor in a statement signed by the Secretary to the State Government, Dr Emmanuel Ekuwem on Friday said Nicholas would remain suspended until he is cleared of the allegations by the security agencies investigating him.

“I am directed to announce the immediate suspension of Mr. Emmanuel Nicholas from his duties as a Special Assistant to the Governor. This is as a result of allegations of fraudulent activities leveled against him.

“Mr. Nicholas will remain suspended until investigations are completed by security agencies and he is cleared of the allegations,” the statement said

The governor reiterated his administration’s determination to continue to uphold the tenets of transparency, Integrity and accountability as his core values.
