A mobile policeman has been reportedly shot dead along the popular Airport Road in the twin-cities of Effurun and Warri, Delta State.
It was gathered that the deceased was shot by fleeing armed gunmen on Thursday afternoon.
Sources told our correspondent that the policeman died on the spot while the suspects reportedly fled his service rifle.
This is coming barely four days after some bandits killed two operatives of the Operation Delta Safe (OPS) around Asaba, the state capital.

Similarly, another mobile policeman on escort duty was killed at a Church in Otor-Ogor near Ughelli Sunday with his service also carted away.
Details of the incident was still sketchy at the time of filing this report.
However, the Delta State Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Onome Onovwakpoyeya, confirmed the killing of the cop when contacted on phone.
She, however, did not give details, saying she was still expecting signals from officers in the area.
