Accident Claims Two Lives Along Koko Road In Delta

Two persons were confirmed dead on Monday in an accident involving a drink distribution van along Koko Road in Warri North/Ethiope West Local Government Areas of Delta State.

NIGER DELTA TODAY (NDT) Online gathered that the driver of vehicle who survived the lone auto crash sustained life threatening injuries and had been rushed to a hospital.

Sources told our correspondent that the van which was heading to Koko, the administrative headquarters of Warri North, had a ruptured tyre which resulted in the accident.

It was alleged that vehicle was on excessive speed when the accident occurred at about 1pm on Monday.

Two boys in their late 20s who were among the three occupants of the crashed vehicle, which sell drinks to rural communities in the area, died on the spot.

The deceased were said to be assisting the driver in the distribution of the drinks to their customers.

The were said to have smashed their heads on the tarred road and had their legs broken in the process.

Other road users plying the road rushed the only survivor of the accident to hospital for treatment.

NIGER DELTA TODAY (NDT) Online sources could not confirmed the identities of the victims at the time of filing this report.

The lifeless bodies of two of the victims were still lying at the spot of the accident at the time of filing the report.
