The senator representing Delta South Senatorial District at the National Assembly and the senatorial candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), James Manager, says his party (PDP) will crush the All Progressives Congress (APC) in next month’s general elections in the state.
Manager said the immediate past governor of the state and the senatorial candidate of the APC for Delta South, Dr Emmanuel Uduaghan, is not fit to represent the senatorial district having failed the people of the area as governor for eight years.
The senator, who spoke at the PDP Campaign rally for Warri South Local Government on Wednesday at the Warri Township Stadium, vowed to crush the former governor at the election.

Manager, who has been representing the senatorial district since 2003, told a mammoth crowd of PDP supporters in the council to return him as a ranking lawmaker to the senate to bring more dividend of democracy to area.
“I’ll win next month’s senatorial election. PDP is the party. Vote me as a ranking senator to see more dividends of democracy in from the federal government. My opponent (referring to Uduaghan) is not fit to represent Delta South having failed us as a governor.
“As usual, he will make promises, but he will not deliver as usual. We should not make the mistake for the third time. Don’t let them deceive you, vote PDP candidates from House of Assembly to Presidency. Okowa should be re-elected for delivery dividends of democracy to our people”, Manager told the crowd.
Constituents including some Ijaw leaders have criticized the former PDP chairman for seeking to return to the senate for the fifth term. Some of the PDP leaders have also vowed to work against the senator from the party.
In spite the strong opposition against his candidature, Senator Manager claimed he remains the best candidate for the position irrespective of his long stay at the red chamber.
